System Requirements

TakeFlight Academy is compatible with both Lockheed Martin Prepar3D version 4 & 5 (P3D), as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator: Steam Edition (FSX). You will need a Windows PC with the below minimum hardware specifications.

  • OS - Microsoft Windows® 10 1809 or later
  • Processor - Quad+ Core @ 3.0+ GHz
  • Memory - 8+ GB RAM
  • Storage - At least 50 GB free on C:\ for P3D. Solid State Drive (SSD) is strongly recommended
  • Graphics - Dedicated graphics card w/ 2+ GB of video memory
  • Network - Broadband Internet connection
  • Display - 1920×1080 minimum screen resolution for primary display

Note: P3D has higher system requirements, and provides higher simulation fidelity. It also requires the separate purchase of an Add-on C172 Aircraft from A2A Simulations which provides the highest level of realism. We suggest using P3D for flight training.
